SaaS Development for US Founders and Product Teams

Multi-tenant products with Stripe billing, enterprise SSO and the security controls US procurement teams and SOC 2 auditors expect.

SaaS Development for the United States

SaaS Development, built around how the United States works

Building SaaS for US customers means building for two buyers at once: the end user who wants a fast, polished product and the procurement team that sends a security questionnaire before signing. Nexzem builds SaaS products for US founders from India, from first MVP to enterprise tier, with multi-tenancy, billing and audit features planned from the start rather than bolted on later.

The US-specific parts are well known but easy to underestimate: SOC 2 readiness, SSO and SCIM for enterprise plans, usage-based billing, sales tax rules that treat SaaS differently from state to state, and data hosted in US regions. Read what SaaS means architecturally, or keep going for how we handle each item.

Billing, pricing and sales tax

Most US SaaS companies run billing on Stripe Billing, Chargebee or Paddle, with seat-based, tiered or usage-based plans and annual contracts invoiced to enterprise customers. We build metering, proration, trials, dunning and plan changes, and sync invoices to QuickBooks or NetSuite.

States disagree on whether SaaS is taxable: some tax it as software, some as a service and some not at all. A merchant of record such as Paddle takes that burden on for you, while Stripe Tax or Avalara calculates it if you stay the seller. Your accountant decides which model fits; we build either.

Enterprise and SOC 2 readiness

These controls map to the AICPA Trust Services Criteria behind a SOC 2 report. Platforms such as Vanta or Drata can collect the evidence automatically; the audit itself is performed by an independent CPA firm that you engage.

SaaS Development in USA, answered

Something else on your mind? Ask a consultant and get a reply within one business day.

Single-tenant or multi-tenant for US enterprise customers?

Multi-tenant with strong logical isolation is right for most products, because it keeps costs and releases manageable. Some regulated or very large customers ask for dedicated databases or a single-tenant deployment, so we design the data layer to allow that as a premium tier without forking the codebase.

How soon can a US SaaS MVP be ready to sell?

A focused MVP with one core workflow, authentication, billing and an admin view usually takes a few months, depending on integrations. Enterprise features such as SSO and audit logs can follow once early customers ask for them. Our MVP development service explains how we cut scope safely.

Can you help us pass a SOC 2 audit?

We build and document the technical controls, produce evidence such as access reviews and change records, and answer auditor questions about the system. We are not auditors and cannot issue a report; your CPA firm does that. Policies, HR controls and vendor management remain your company's responsibility.
