Cloud Architecture, Migration and Operations for US Companies

AWS, Azure and Google Cloud environments built as code in your accounts, designed for HIPAA, SOC 2 and US public sector expectations, and maintained while your users sleep.

Cloud Services for the United States

Cloud Services, built around how the United States works

US companies usually come to us with one of three cloud problems: a product outgrowing a single server or a simple hosting platform, an on-premises system that must move before a data center contract ends, or a cloud bill growing faster than revenue. Nexzem handles cloud migration, architecture and cost optimization on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud from India, always inside your own accounts so you keep billing and root access.

US cloud work has its own compliance vocabulary: HIPAA-eligible services and BAAs, SOC 2 evidence, PCI DSS segmentation and, for public sector customers, FedRAMP authorization and government regions. Because our working day falls during the US night, patching, upgrades and deployments can run while your users sleep, without paying for an overnight shift.

US regions, residency and public sector clouds

Every major provider runs several US regions, such as AWS us-east-1 and us-west-2, Azure East US and West US 2 and Google Cloud us-central1, so production data can stay in the US with a disaster recovery copy in a second region. Region choice affects latency, price and which services are available, so we confirm the services you need exist in your chosen regions before committing.

Federal agencies buy cloud services through FedRAMP, and defense contractors handling controlled unclassified information work toward NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC requirements. These can require AWS GovCloud (US) or Azure Government and restrict who may administer the environment, which can rule out offshore administrators. When a contract's personnel rules mean the work must stay with a US team, we tell you plainly.

Compliance-ready architecture

We build with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation, so every change has a reviewed pull request and audits move faster. See Terraform vs CloudFormation for the trade-offs. Typical controls for US workloads:

  • HIPAA: a BAA with the cloud provider, HIPAA-eligible services only, encryption and access logging
  • SOC 2: change approval, centralized logs, alerting and access reviews
  • PCI DSS: cardholder data isolated in its own segment, or kept out of scope through tokenization
  • Backups: tested restores and documented recovery time and recovery point objectives
  • Access: SSO into cloud consoles, no shared root credentials and just-in-time admin rights

What our cloud services covers

Cloud architecture, migration, operations and cost control on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, delivered by one team.

  1. 01

    Cloud architecture design

Network layout, compute choices, storage tiers and failover planned around your traffic patterns, data rules and budget, then documented so any engineer can follow it.

  2. 02

    Infrastructure as code

Terraform templates for every environment, so staging and production match, changes go through review and a lost region can be rebuilt from version control.

  3. 03

    Cloud-native app development

Containerised services, serverless functions and managed databases built to scale with demand, instead of oversized servers sitting idle all night.

  4. 04

    Migration and modernisation

Move workloads from on-premise servers, shared hosting or another cloud with planned cutovers, data validation and a tested rollback path.

  5. 05

    Monitoring and alerting

Dashboards, log collection and alert rules that tell the right person about real problems before customers notice, without flooding inboxes with noise.

  6. 06

    Backup and disaster recovery

Automated snapshots, cross-region copies and documented restore drills, so recovery time and acceptable data loss are known numbers rather than guesses.

  7. 07

    Cost management

Rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, storage lifecycle rules and tagging that shows which product or client is driving each line of the bill.

How a project runs

Clear stages with a review at the end of each, so you always know what happens next and what it costs.

  1. 01

    Discovery call

We learn about your product, users, compliance needs and current setup, then agree on goals such as uptime, release speed or lower cost.

  2. 02

    Assessment

Our engineers review existing infrastructure, code and bills to find risks, waste and quick wins, and share the findings in plain language.

  3. 03

    Architecture and plan

You receive a target design, timeline and a fixed quote or team plan, with trade-offs explained so you can decide with confidence.

  4. 04

    Build and deploy

We write infrastructure as code, set up pipelines and move workloads in stages, testing each step before production traffic arrives.

  5. 05

    Operate and improve

Monitoring, patching and monthly cost reviews keep the platform healthy, with a clear handover pack if your own team takes over.

The stack behind it

Proven, well-supported tools chosen for your scale, budget and team, never for novelty.

Cloud Services in USA, answered

Something else on your mind? Ask a consultant and get a reply within one business day.

AWS, Azure or Google Cloud for a US startup?

AWS has the broadest service catalog and talent pool, Azure fits companies already on Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, and Google Cloud is strong for data and analytics workloads. Credits programs and your team's experience often decide it. Our AWS vs Azure and AWS vs Google Cloud comparisons go deeper.

Can you reduce our cloud bill?

Usually there is room. We start with tagging and a cost breakdown, then rightsize instances, move steady workloads to savings plans or reservations, clean up idle resources and storage tiers, and set budgets with alerts. We do not promise a percentage before seeing the bill. Our glossary explains the FinOps practice behind it.

Do you provide ongoing support after migration?

Yes, through managed cloud services. The Indian working day covers the US night, which suits maintenance and monitoring, and coverage for the remaining hours, including on-call response times, is written into the support plan rather than assumed.
